E36: Idli & My Blood Sugar — Better Than Expected
Idli has a reputation as a light, healthy breakfast. I tested it on my CGM to find out if that reputation is earned.
Idli is fermented, steamed, and relatively low in fat — on paper it looks like one of the better Indian breakfast options. I wanted the data to confirm or complicate that.
The spike was lower than I expected, and the slow-fermentation process does appear to matter. That said, context is everything — what you pair with idli changes the curve. Watch to see the full picture.
