E67: Orgain Protein Powder & Blood Glucose — One Spiked Me Like a Dessert
Not all protein powders are the same. I tested Orgain on my CGM and the result was the kind of surprise that makes you read labels differently.
Protein powder is supposed to be a blood-sugar-neutral food. Pure protein doesn't spike glucose — that's the whole point of using it. But protein powders aren't pure protein. They have added sugars, flavourings, and ingredients that can completely change the picture.
I tested Orgain specifically because it's one of the most popular plant-based options and marketed as clean. My CGM showed a response I wasn't expecting. This is why I read the ingredients panel now before buying any supplement.
